Acclaimed American commercial and fine art nude photographer, Bryon Paul McCartney, lives and works near Zurich, Switzerland. Predominantly, his images are an expression not only of his appreciation for women, but also of his own unique perspective. McCartney explains, “I am always putting myself in the role of the voyeur, but more than that, I also ask myself, ‘If I was in love with this person, how would they look to me?’, in that respect, I am not trying to create an idyllic image, I am trying to capture something much more difficult and elusive, it’s more about feelings and emotions.”

McCartney also teaches others how to see from his own perspective. “I will offer my fine art nudes photography workshops for the third year running this year in Tuscany, Italy. It’s a great opportunity for me to share my knowledge and ideas on photography with other photographers. Each one-week workshop can accommodate about eight students and four models and Tuscany is my favorite place to visit. It has everything, great locations and views, excellent wines and amazing food.”

McCartney has won several awards for his work, including first place in fine art nudes in the International Photography Awards, and first place in the Prix de la Photographie Paris. His erotic work has featured in the Erotic Signature awards and the Erotic review. His work has been published various magazines and books as well.

McCartney got started late in photography. “Around my 35th birthday I bought my first ‘real’ camera and immediately fell in love with photography. I ended up shooting nudes because I wanted to learn studio lighting and my wife was okay with it. Most of my friends think I am the luckiest guy in the world and somehow, I don’t blame them.”
